We Worship God
CLC's worship services are upbeat and dynamic! We believe that
worship shouldn't be somber and mournful, but rather a
celebration of the love and life that we have in the Lord.
Our
worship style here at CLC is contemporary-combining passion with
reverence. Our desire is that each individual would be able to
express their love and worship to the Lord while being
mindful of others around them.
The Bible teaches us to "clap our hands" and "lift them up in
the sanctuary and bless the Lord" [Psalms 47:1; 143:2] The
Psalms also encourage us to "dance before the Lord" and to sing
to the Lord "a new song" [Psalms 150:4; 96:1]. Our dynamic times
of praise and celebration are followed by times of reverent
worship and adoration.
Here at CLC we continue to worship God through practical and
relevant messages and sermons. On a regular basis, church guests
and members will be invited to meet at the front of the
sanctuary to receive prayer, communion, and encouragement.
What We Believe
1. The Bible is the inspired,
written word of God: infallible (never wrong); inerrant
(absolute truth). 1 Timothy 3:16.
2. There is One God in three
persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Matthew
28:18-20; Mark 12:29.
3. The Lord Jesus Christ, the Son
of God has always existed. He became human, being born of a
virgin. After living a sinless life, He died on the cross in
order to restore fallen mankind. He was raised from the dead,
has ascended into heaven, and He will come again. Matthew
1:23, Matthew 28:6, 1 Corinthians 15:3-4, Acts 1:9,11.
4. Salvation is received when a
person repents of their sins, asks God for forgiveness, believes
in their heart and confesses Jesus as Lord and Savior.
Ephesians 2:8, Ephesians 1:7, Romans 10:9.
5. Water baptism is an outward sign
of an inward work. Mark 16:16.
6. The baptism of the Holy Spirit
is available to every believer that asks. Acts 8:15.
7. Divine healing for the whole man
is by the atoning death of Jesus. 1 Peter 2:24.
8. Prophecy is a spontaneous
message given through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit for
edification of the body. 1 Corinthians 14:1-5.
Salvation
John 3:3-6 - Jesus replied, "I assure you, unless
you are born again, you can never see the Kingdom of God."
Romans 3:23 says that we all have sinned and fall short of God's
glory; therefore, we ALL need a Savior to restore us to God and
graft us into His Kingdom.
Salvation occurs the moment that we confess that Jesus is Lord
and believe in our hearts that He was raised from the dead.
(Romans 10:9)
In short, we believe that:
*Jesus is the one and only begotten Son of God. (John 1:14)
*Jesus died to fully pay for your sins...past, present, and
future. (I John 1:9)\
*Jesus is no longer on the cross, but rose again and is alive
today. (I Corinthians 15:3-6)
*The only way to have eternal life is through faith in Jesus
Christ. (John 14:6)
Baptism
At CLC, we place a high priority on baptism as a command of
obedience from Jesus. It illustrates Christ's death and
resurrection, and is a representation of our dying to the old
life and rising into a new life in Jesus Christ.
2 Corinthians 5:17 says that when someone becomes a Christian,
he has become something new and different. The old life is
gone, and a new life has begun. Baptism is like a wedding
ring. It is an outward symbol of the commitment in your
heart. Baptism does not make you a believer; it simply
shows that you already believe.
Lord's Supper
I Corinthians 11:23-26 - For I received from the Lord that
which I also delivered to you, that the Lord Jesus in the night
in which He was betrayed, took bread; and when He had given
thanks, He broke it and said, "This is My body, which is for
you; do this in remembrance of Me." In the same way He took the
cup also after supper, saying, "This cup is the new covenant in
My blood; do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of
Me." For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup,
you proclaim the Lord's death until He comes.
The Lord's Supper is a commanded exercise from Jesus, to us,
intended to constantly remind us of His sacrifice. It is
to be taken by believers in Jesus, according to 2 Corinthians
11:29, and represents His body being broken and His blood being
shed for our sins.
Our purpose is to build a place where people come together to love
God and make his purpose known.
Mission Statement: "We believe a Great Commitment to the
Great Commission and the Great Commandment will grow a

Matt. 28:19-20
*To "Love God with all your heart" is "Worship".

Becoming a Member
Membership begins with 1st Base "Success in Life". This
class is the basic introduction to our church family. Since
we have members from many different church backgrounds, this
class was designed to clearly explain who and what our
church is, our statement, our strategy, our structure.
Second Base class focuses on the four basic habits every
Christian needs to grow spiritual maturity: Time in God's
Word, Prayer, Tithing, and Fellowship. Third Base is an
exciting, fast-paced class designed to help you discover how
God can use your Spiritual gifts, Heart, Abilities,
Personality, and Experience to serve others. At CLC we
believe every member is a minister of Jesus Christ and has a
special place to serve God in ministry.
